ACCEPT THE UNEXPECTED
We always have some hopes and expectations. Hopes give us an impetus to surge forward but our expectations always create some tension for us and drag us down. they are nothing but a demand to get something in return for our love, affection or even a good deed done voluntarily. This demand is simply a need of gratification of our ego.
when we sow a seed we expect it to become a plant. But Nature acts in a funny way. Though it rigidly maintains the cycle of seasons and the cycle of creation and destruction, it sometimes acts whimsically and gives us jolts every now and then by means of famines, earthquakes, floods, landslides, and other such calamities. As if ,Nature wants the eternal drama of life much more interesting by giving such twists to its theme! Indeed, the creativity of Time lies in its way of keeping us always in struggle and uncertainity. Time will not allow a king to sleep peacefully in his palace and will fill him with the fear of death, but at the same time Time will keep a child safe even after falling from a great height!
One should learn early in life that life is not a colourful fairytale which has a happy end. You never know when the clear sky will be filled by dark and threatening clouds, or while going to pick a beautiful flower, suddenly a hidden snake will hiss at you!
Whosoever recognises and accepts this uncertainity in life, his disappointments don't trouble him much.He just shrugs his shoulder and moves on.
And then sometimes the unexpected may prove to be wonderful ! Like winning a losing cricket match in the final over or missing a train only to learn that it has met with an accident soon after! Then ,with a sigh of relief we call such instances as lucky chances!
Once we go on a voyage we can't expect only to have a clear blue sky, soothing breeze and gently rocking waves. We have to be prepared for unexpected tempests and torrents. Same applies to the life's voyage. We have to be prepared for many unexpected accidents, hurdles and also for some pleasant surprises.
we should never be dependant on others or external factors for our own happiness. We will be able to breathe more freely only if we will stop expecting other people to behave in a certain manner, or to return our love and affection in equal measure.Does a flower ask anything in return for its fragrance?
